OUR STORY

Want to know our story?
PAKUCHA
was born from a crazy idea in 2018!

It all started with:
“What if we move to the Pyrenees with our animals? »
A return to nature and calm was calling us.

At that time, we already had a few alpacas in our large garden and had developed strong trusting relationships with them.
So why not expand a little?
Then the baby alpacas, known as crias, arrived.
And then, why not use this soft wool
to make beautiful things?

With the decision made, we left the Lot-et-Garonne and found THE farm of our dreams in 2022.
Then came a herd of 15 cashmere goats.
And so here we are today, a Franco-British family, well settled with our animals, our faithful Fox Terrier, Dexter and are always on the lookout for new challenges !

And finally, we chose our name : PAKUCHA
It means "little alpaca" in Quechua, the language of the Incas which became the official language of Peru during the 20th century; Peru is the country of origin of alpacas.
Quechua is one of the languages that best expresses moods, sweetness, tenderness,
passion and even anger; totally in line with the characters of our animals, but also ours...
